GLADA Women's Voices
About
Us
GLADA Women's Voices is a group of women in
London who have been affected by drugs and alcohol. Set up in 2006,
GWV was, and still is supported by Greater London Alcohol and Drug
Alliance (GLADA /GLA), The Stella Project (part of AVA), Black Poppy, and London Drug and Alcohol
Network (LDAN).
We are both - an engine room that gathers and promotes womens
views and experiences through the arts. As well as a forum to
explore, discuss and respond to new strategies, policies and
developments on drugs and its related subjects and their impact on
women's lives.
What you can find here
As our group has evolved we have found a distict
lack of information about women and drug using issues. Resources
are scattered all over the web and we have had to look extremely
hard to locate peer led women and drug materials. Therefore we want
our space here to be a place where good quality, recommended
resources on issues that affect the lives of women who use drugs
/alcohol can be located and shared.
Including personal writings, essays, links to
other sites, good womens services in London, literature of note,
with additional information on our group, group events, our
exhibitions, presentations and consultations with other women and
groups.
Please dont hesitate to email us if you
have any documents you think could help us collate these resources
for all women.
