Sutton Women's Aid is a charity that provides accommodation, advice and support to women and their children escaping from domestic violence and abuse.

Applications are invited for this new post at SWA to deliver a high quality service to survivors of domestic violence in the London Borough of Sutton.  The role will cover: crisis intervention, risk assessment, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning.  Key aspects of the role are:  1) Helping survivors to safely maintain their tenancies, and 2) To act as an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) for high risk clients at Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC).

Candidates are required to have a recognised qualification in social work, housing or counselling. Candidates should be IDVA qualified or prepared to undertake Caada IDVA training within the first 12 months of the role. In addition candidates should have at least two years direct experience of working with survivors of domestic abuse.
