The Ministry of Justice's consultation on its Proposals for the
Reform of Legal Aid in England and Wales closes at 12noon on 14
February 2011.
Please consider submitting a response to this consultation; it is
crucial that our voices are heard and that women's access to
justice is secured.
Please see information below from Rights of Women:
WHO can submit a response?
- Individuals and organisations can submit responses. We urge as
many people as possible to respond; please do circulate this
information to your networks.
HOW to submit your response:
- If you use the template response:
The template response needs to be submitted as a word (or pdf)
file because of the way that we have developed it. You can use the
word document attached and amend it as you read through it, putting
your organisation's name / your own name in place of Rights of
Women and editing the text as you wish. Although it is a large
document, it should not take too much time if you amend the
document according to your own views as you read through it.
When complete, you can send the response in word or pdf file by
email to legalaidreformmoj@justice.gsi.gov.uk
or by post to: Annette Cowell, Legal Aid Reform, Ministry of
Justice, 102 Petty France, London SW1H 9AJ.
- If you do not use the template response:
The Ministry of Justice has also set up an online questionnaire
that you can use. You can access this online at:
https://survey.euro.confirmit.com/wix3/p485462495.aspx.
WHEN to submit your response:
- Responses must be submitted by 12 Noon on Monday 14
February 2011.
Ministry of Justice documents:
- You can view all information, including the Ministry of
Justice's green paper and associated impact assessments on the
