Survivor Involvement Surveys

AVA has conducted two small-scale surveys with practitioners about levels of survivor involvement.

 

The first survey was a poll on the AVA website between July-August 2010.

We would like to know more about survivor involvement in your area - are survivors?

  • Empowered and funded to develop survivor-led initiatives 8%
  • Given opportunities to scrutinise and hold services to account 8%
  • Given genuine influence in service design and development (co-production) 12%
  • Consulted and their views are taken into account 28%
  • Consulted but as a cosmetic exercise 12%
  • Not involved 32%

 

The second survey was conducted with delegates at the AVA conference 2010 [for more information on this event see here].

NEW Rape Crisis National Service Standards
These standards have been developed in recognition of the need to have in place service standards that are specific to sexual violence services and provide a benchmark for excellence.
