What we do

AVA provides a range of services to organisations and agencies working in the voluntary and statutory sector as well as to individual practitioners.

  • Consultancy

    Our consultancy services encompass a wide range of activities from strategic planning to survivor consultation.

  • Training & events

    We deliver a training programme comprising over 25 different courses addressing violence against women and girls. These courses are delivered as open or in house at various locations across the UK. We also deliver conferences and events across the UK.

  • Good practice guidance

    We have developed a range of toolkits, sample policies and procedures which can all be downloaded from our website and/or as hard copies.

  • Resources & information

    We produce numerous policy briefings, publications and leaflets on a range of issues relating to violence against women and girls. We also produce monthly and quarterly newsletters and maintain and update the CCRM website.

  • Advice & support

    AVA staff are available for general advice and support on issues relating to both policy and practice. Please feel free to contact us by email or phone.

  • Networking

    AVA currently hosts a number of networks aimed at specific sectors or agencies.

  • Jobs and volunteering

    Periodically we have internship and volunteering opportunities which we advertise via the website.


We produce monthly e-newsletters and regular bulletins to help you keep up to date with issues related to violence against women and girls.
